Question 1. Do you cover areas outside of Brisbane?

Answer:  Yes.  We cover Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast regions and west as far as Toowoomba at no extra charge.  If you want us outside that range, email us and enquire - we are usually happy to accommodate.

Question 2. How can I view my photos?

Answer: Proof images of the wedding are put into a secure login website that you can share with friends and family, without outside viewers able to see (unless you want them to).  Your friends a family can purchase prints from the website.  Proofs books can be printed, if preferred.

Question 3.  How soon can I see my proofs?

Answer: The images are available as online proofs within about 24 hours or less.  Processed and optimized images are made as chosen and required.

Question 4. I had a big, nasty zit on my back!!! Can you remove that?

Answer: Absolutely.  We retouch the image are no extra cost to remove zits or anything else you don't like.  We can thin arms, adjust hair colour, remove rubbish bins - whatever you require.  A variety of effects, such as smoothing, soft focus, black and white, sepia, vignetting, burning, dodging, etc. are used to bring out the best from your images.  Feel free to have input, or feel confident to leave it to our professionals to optimize your images.

Question 5. Can we just get the 'negatives' and print the images ourselves?

Answer:  Yes, after 6 months a DVD of the digital  images can be purchased for an additional cost of $300.  The package you have chosen determines the number of images supplied at first, and additional images can be purchased at any time.   The photographer owns the copyright of the images - that's why you should find a photographer you will be happy to pay for the quality pictures they capture.  Once you purchase the DVD of the digital images after six months from your ceremony, you are released by us to print them on your home printer, or at a lab, such as BigW, Rabbit Photo, or we would recommend a Pro-lab.

Question 6. I don't want to spend extra money to buy all the images - do you keep the images archived?  Can I buy prints later?

Answer: Yes, we keep rigorous archiving of the image files, onsite and offsite, so your memories will not be lost.  You can purchase extra prints at any time.

Question 7. What 'style' of photography does Sean use?

Answer: Sean can shoot the wedding to a particular style, if you would like.  However, his own style of wedding photography is a blend of photojournalistic, fashion, formal and candid.  Ceremonies lend themselves to the photojournalistic and candid approaches, with formal portraits (with a fashion style) between the ceremony and reception.  Receptions also bloom with non-invasive candid and photojournalistic styles.

Question 8. Can you advise me of a shoot-list or take shots to my requirements?

Answer: Yes.  We have a list of commonly-desired wedding photographs, but on the whole, the photojournalistic approach means none of the great shots are missed.  Lists are useful for ensuring the whole wedding party and families are covered, but can stifle the wedding if applied too rigorously.   Of course, we are happy to capture any images that you specify as special to you.  You can even mimic your favourite wedding magazine pic, if you like.

Question 9. As a bride, I don't want a male photographer when getting ready....

Answer: If this is an issue for you but you still want shots at this time, Shelley can take the 'getting ready' shots.  Of course, they are not compulsory and your modesty is respected at all times.

Question 10. Will every image you take be on the website proofs and the DVD?

Answer: No, to preserve the dignity of our patrons, we'll avoid including any images where you blink or look terrible for whatever reason (heaven forbid!).

Question 11. How can we be assured of no cancellation, or loss of images on the day?

Answer: We use a backup system throughout the day and separate backup cameras and memory cards to ensure your memories are not lost. If we are unable to attend your wedding at the last minute due to serious illness or disaster, we have a backup network of quality photographers.

Question 12. We can't have flash photography at our church/venue - can we still get shots from the ceremony?

Answer: Yes.  Unless photography is specifically completely excluded from your venue (rare), then we can still capture ceremony images with the increased digital sensitivity of our pro-series cameras.  Limited use of flash is actually preferred for increased ambience.

Question 13. Will our prints last forever?

Answer: Only the highest grade archival papers are used from a professional photographic lab - ink jet technology cannot compare for quality and longevity at this stage.  These papers are acid free and designed for maximum colour reproduction and longevity.   We can also organize prints on canvas, which are very popular at the moment.

Question 14. Who chooses our Album and wall prints?

Answer: You do.  Of course we can advise on styles and favorites, but it's your album and prints - you have the final choices.  A 'side' means single side of one page, whereas a 'leaf' is one page on both sides.  All images are captured large, so any image from your wedding can be printed from tiny up to an enormous 30 inch X 20 inches.

Question 15. What images proportion do you print at?

Answer: We use the latest generation digital pro-series cameras, which have a similar-sized sensor as 35 mm film cameras.  This means a 3:2 image proportion, which is optimal for printing at the following sizes - 6x4", 5x7.5", 8x12", 10x15", etc.  However, we can crop to other common formats, such as 10x8".

Question 16. Can we get black and white (monochrome) pictures?

Answer: Yes.  All images are shot in the digital RAW format, which is a colour format, but can be converted to monochrome and/or cross-processed, colour-filtered or any other style you prefer, at no additional cost.

Question 17.  We want that image sharp and as a square print, but Mum wants it soft-focus and rectangular....

Answer: No problem.  Each image can be treated to a variety of different styles and square or rectangular crops and sizes.

Question 18.  I don't like posing - I get nervous and I then look terrible in the pics....

Answer: Sean and Shelley can set you at ease during posed photos, or you can choose to avoid them altogether, and we'll shot photojournalistic and candid styles to capture your natural smile.

Question 19.  Will the photography interfere with and dictate the flow of our big day?

Answer: No - it's your day and we are there to capture it, not dictate it's flow.  You can change the plan at any time.  We can operate quickly and in a stress-free manner - we will not keep you from your guests a second longer than you want us to.

Question 20.  Will the photographer use our pictures for advertising themselves, or for other commercial purposes?

Answer: Yes and no. Your images may be used to advertise the style of photography that we do, on our website or in print advertising, but no additional commercial use will be made of your images.  A release to this effect is signed during the booking, but if you particularly do not want any of your images used for our advertising, please say so.

Question 21.  Can you recommend a Professional Make-up that specializes in wedding make-up?

Answer: Yes. Danielle Robinson is excellent at her craft, punctual and professional.  You can contact her at www.daniellerobinson.com.au.

Question 22.  How does someone pic a good professional wedding photographer?

Answer: Shooting a wedding is something that should be done by someone whose knowledge and ability of photography transcends the camera alone - you need a light artist who has a flare for emotion.   Choose someone whose work is so pleasing you are happy to pay for it.
